Importowo — Vehicle Intelligence Platform

Importowo gave buyers access to US vehicle auctions without requiring their own Copart or IAAI account or relying entirely on an import intermediary. Users could fund a deposit, search and compare vehicles, review auction history, photographs, damage and cost estimates, save favourites, bid, confirm bids, receive win or loss alerts and follow the vehicle's transport. As solo founder and developer, with design support, Andrzej owned the product, microservice architecture, data platform, frontend, backend, AWS infrastructure, payments, administration and production operation.

• Aggregated Copart and IAAI auctions together with manually added vehicles sourced in the United States.
• Synchronized source data every two to three hours and processed approximately 100,000 new vehicle records per day.
• Used RabbitMQ to coordinate multi-stage enrichment including responsive image variants, VIN information, document validation and other vehicle-processing tasks.
• Applied NLP to listing descriptions and documents, translation, damage classification and search.
• Used Playwright both for end-to-end tests and auction-portal data collection.
• Protected the marketplace with anti-bot controls against unauthorized scraping of Importowo data.
• Ran the microservice platform on AWS ECS and EC2 with Amazon RDS and S3.
• Handled auction-hour traffic spikes and served up to approximately 20–30 thousand monthly visits.
• Implemented deposits, bidding, commission-based revenue, alerts, transport tracking, payments and the administration panel.

• Built and operated a production marketplace processing approximately 100,000 new vehicles per day.
• Reached up to approximately 20–30 thousand visits per month.
• Sold the complete application together with its domain.
